Qinda and Malda have a rich history dating back centuries. Qinda is a region with a predominantly Chinese population, a territory in Manchuria, on the border with Malda, a Qindan name for Korea. “Qindan” and “Maldian” do not describe ethnicities, but rather concepts, mindsets, and love for the Homeland.
It all started with the collapse of the Liao dynasty when the first Qindan state was formed. But let’s not dive into the ancient history of our Country too much.
Coup in Malda
The two nations have always been close together and lived in peace. They had a long history of cooperation and partnership, respect and agreement.
In 2006 the new president of the back-then Republic of Qinda was elected who promised to continue partnering with Malda and signed a free trade agreement with the king of Malda
But in 2009 the military overthrew the constitutional monarchy government of Malda and proclaimed the Empire of Malda with the general assuming the position of the emperor. The sole idea of the existence of the Empire of Malda was to destroy Qinda, her culture and her people.
This was not a popular idea even in Malda, it was just a dream of the emperor. However, all forms of protest have been strictly prosecuted by the military, and people were afraid to counter the fascist regime.
The Great Liberation war
Despite the constant threats, the Republic of Qinda tried countless times to re-establish communication and partnership between the nations. However, these attempts proved to be futile.
On June 25, 2011, the citizens of Dandong — the capital of the Republic of Qinda, woke up to loud shots and explosions. The Empire of Malda has officially declared war on the Republic of Qinda.
The Qindan Army, unprepared for the attack, began a strategic retreat to gain a tactical advantage. This meant abandoning the border city of Dandong and letting the enemy capture the capital.
One after another, multiple cities fell to the Empire of Malda. On the newly occupied Qindan territories, under the directive of the emperor, Malda initiated several so-called “national correction” programmes. All nationalities except Maldian were declared inferior, including the Qindan. They burned our books, our houses, our districts, our villages, and cities. But the most brutal thing… They burned our people.
Although the soldiers of Malda did not want to do such things, many of the survivors described that they were crying and praying sorry; just the same as with the citizens, they were forced to stay silent and obey the orders of the emperor. To attack, to kill and to torture the innocent.
Qindan People’s Army
When the Qindan Army was forced to retreat to the Liao River, and it seemed like all hope was lost, multiple resistance groups appeared, opposing the occupation by the Empire of Malda. In September 2012 the leaders of the two major rebel people’s divisions met at the foot of Mount Paektu. They decided to put an end to the genocide and yoke of the emperor, to unite their forces under the Qindan People’s Army.
With each day the strength of the QPA grew, as more and more people, from different backgrounds, nationalities, ages and genders, joined the army to save their homelands!
The Battle of Tonghua
The first major battle happened in the north of the country, near the city of Tonghua. The Qindan People’s Army used everything, everyone fought as best they could, and they did not spare themselves. They knew that if they lost, there would be no more Qinda and no more Malda, only genocide, occupation, and terror. Dozens, hundreds of people were killed every single day. All those fallen heroes will be forever remembered and honoured as true patriots.
These efforts, however, were not in vain. The Empire of Malda had its first major defeat and retreated to the south, marking the turning point of this war!
The two leaders of the QPA met once again at the foot of Mount Paektu with the surviving command of the Qindan Army to discuss the unification of their forces. For a long time, Qinda had no functioning government, the president was killed in the first month of the war, so the Army of the Republic of Qinda decided to join the Qindan People’s Army to fight back the evil!
The Birth of a Nation
The army of the Empire of Malda, demotivated and disorganised before seen as the strongest in the world and undefeatable, surrendered village after village, city after city and province after province. On January 15, 2015, the united Qindan People’s Army entered Pyongyang, the capital of the Empire of Malda, ending the fascist regime once and for all! The Great Liberation war has finally ended!
On the same day, the new country was proclaimed — the Democratic Republic of Qinda, a federal state of law, uniting Qinda and Malda, both forever scarred with the horrors of war, for once.
Rebuilding amidst ruins
However, the young country faced many difficulties. Although the Empire of Malda was defeated, the consequences of its actions were a whole other war on its own. Burned cities, villages, fields, and books — just a fraction of the damage the Democratic Republic of Qinda had to fix.
But the people did not give up. They united their forces when fighting the enemy, and they will unite their forces once again to bring their homeland to prosperity! The country adopted the policy of deep isolationism in order to recover from the damage of war. This resulted in the full self-reliance of the Democratic Republic of Qinda on its own, not needing foreign imports or aid to sustain the restoration of the country.
The symbol of this period was the mythical “Chollima” winged horse, which is said to be able to traverse a thousand ri in a single day.

“Let’s restore our country with the speed of Chollima!”
